Because of its sweet taste this onion is an ideal product for children. The sweet onion tastes great in many dishes, in particular in salads, raw vegetables, at the barbecue, garnish of hamburgers and pizza´s, stewed onions, etc.
In the United States 20% of onion consumption corresponds to sweet onions. The product is rather new in Europe and demand is steadily growing, because of the multiple advantages of the sweet onion.
